The cellar, which underwent a total renovation in 2018, is an example of how tradition and innovation can coexist and work together in the creation of unique products.

The new underground structure, modern and functional, blends in harmoniously with the rolling countryside and meets the demands for efficiency and environmental sustainability.

This is the place where we must honor what the land offers without changing with it: everything at Canalicchio di Sopra is meant to bring out the best in our Sangiovese starting in the vineyards, in pursuit of elegance, purity and the uniqueness of our Crus.

The grapes are harvested by hand and selected one grape at a time. Fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel vats, is constantly monitored through temperature control as well as through daily light pumping over and délestage, in order to extract all the elegance and personality of our Sangiovese from the skins.

The mystic heart of the production is the ageing cellar, where the medium-sized oak barrels hold our wines during the most important part of their journey, the years of elevation and the quest for balance.
